Chapter 26
Identify your top skin priority, choose suitable actives, review your current routine and create a simple personal skincare plan.
Take a few minutes to observe your skin in natural daylight. Approach this exercise with curiosity rather than criticism. Your goal is not to create a complicated routine; it is to make sure every product has a purpose.
This is a self-guided reflection for your own understanding and skincare journey.
Choose one main concern as your Skin Priority #1: dryness, uneven tone, firmness, dullness, texture or sensitivity.
Identify one or two ingredients that suit your skin type, current condition and life stage. Decide how slowly you will introduce them.
Check your current products and ingredient combinations. Look for unnecessary overlap, possible irritation and gaps in barrier support.
Write down your Skin Priority #1, the changes you want to make and the active ingredients you will use—and why.

You’ve learned how to evaluate active ingredients, choose them according to your skin’s needs and introduce them without losing sight of barrier health.
Keep observing your skin and allow your routine to evolve with it. Effective skincare does not need to be complicated—every product simply needs a purpose.
