8 minute read

Your Core Routine

A good skincare routine does not need to be complicated.

For most people, a few well-chosen products used consistently will provide more benefit than a shelf full of products used randomly.

Morning

1

Cleanse

Use a gentle cleanser appropriate for your skin.

2

Treat

Apply a serum selected for your current skin needs.

3

Moisturize

Choose a formula that provides the hydration and nourishment your skin requires.

4

Protect

Finish with broad-spectrum sunscreen.

Evening

1

Cleanse

Remove makeup, sunscreen, excess oil, sweat, and daily impurities.

2

Treat

Apply a targeted serum or treatment according to your skin’s needs.

3

Moisturize

Support hydration and the skin barrier overnight.

Does your evening routine need to be different?

Not necessarily.

If the same serum and moisturizer work well for you morning and evening, there is no need to change them simply because it is nighttime.

However, evening care can be an opportunity to introduce targeted treatments such as:

  • Hydrating ingredients for dehydration
  • Brightening ingredients for uneven tone
  • Antioxidants for environmental stress
  • Collagen-supporting ingredients for loss of firmness
  • Calming ingredients for sensitive or redness-prone skin

Some active ingredients, such as retinol, are commonly used in the evening because they can increase sensitivity to sunlight.
