Essential vs. Optional Skincare Steps

Not every skincare step is essential.

At Neo Naturelle, we believe every product should have a purpose.

For most people, the foundation is:

Essential Steps

1

Cleansing

2

Treatment

3

Moisturization

4

Sun Protection

The most important goals are:

  • Maintaining hydration
  • Supporting the skin barrier
  • Addressing specific skin concerns when needed
  • Protecting against environmental damage

Toner: Essential or Optional?

A toner, mist, or essence can be enjoyable, refreshing, and hydrating—but it is not essential for healthy skin.

If you love your toner and your skin responds well to it, continue using it.

Just remember:

A toner is an optional enhancement—not a requirement.

Essential skincare steps compared with optional toner, eye patches and extras

Eye Care

The skin around the eyes is thinner and more prone to dehydration, fine lines, puffiness, and environmental stress.

However, it does not necessarily require a completely separate product.

A well-formulated moisturizer can often be used on the:

Face + eye area + neck.

Our 3-in-1 Universal Moisturizer is designed around this multifunctional approach.

If using dedicated eye care

1

Use approximately a grain of rice for both eyes.

2

Apply gently with your ring fingers around the orbital bone.

3

Avoid applying too close to the lash line or directly onto the moving eyelid, where the product may migrate into the eyes.

Eye patches

Eye patches can provide a temporary boost of hydration and a refreshed appearance.

They can be useful before an event or when the eye area looks tired.

However:

Eye patches are not a replacement for consistent skincare.
